SUNDAY July 15: 7 -8:30 PM: Packet Pickup is at the Event Field - start area on Weeks Hill Road.


START Time : 9:00 AM sharp!

What distance is this race?
For the full 8 mile run the course is an accurate 8 mile with 2 miles on a maintained dirt road The course will be certified, accurate and well marked. The relay is also 8 miles, composed of a 3 mile and 5 mile leg. Go to Relay page for more info

RACE T-shirts: Techical Shirts for all pre-registered and post registered if you get here early enough. Shirts for 2012 will be a special Earthtech shirt made from recycled bottles. (They are very very nice :)

ARE WALKERS ALLOWED?
YES! Wallkers are very welcome and encouraged at this event.

What is the course like?: A rural beautiful 8 mile single-loop course starting and finishing just off the Mountain Road in the town of Stowe (the town events field on Weeks Hill Rd.). A rolling course with flat sections that proceeds through beautiful Vermont countryside and takes you through the heart of Stowe. Great views of mountains, fields and country roads.

Restroom facilities: Porta-potties are at the start/finish.

Prizes: Prizes will be designated in 5 year age groups and include merchandise and gift certificates. Note - This race is a NE USAFT race and there will be cash prizes for teams and individuals * USATF teams only..

WHERE ARE THE WATER STOPS
There will be 4 water stops, located approximately at Mile 2, Mile 3.5, Mile 5, Mile 7 and (of course!) the Finish.

WHERE IS THE START & HOW DO I GET THERE?
Report to the starting line at the town event fields just off the Mountain Road on Weeks Hill Rd. by 8:30.

WHERE CAN WE FIND PARKING ON RACE MORNING?
Parking is at the event field and it is free.

HOW CAN I DRIVE THE COURSE?
All of the race course is accessable by car before the race begins. Please stay off the course once the race begins. Follow the race map for best results.

YOU MUST WEAR A B-tag TO GET A TIME and be official.
Each walker or runner will receive a bib with a light “Chip” called a B-tag that is stuck onto the back of the bib. When you start the race you will travel over a mat that takes a reading from this chip. This records your start and finish time automatically into a computer so we can get results out to you faster.

Finish: The finish is on the front lawn of the Golden Eagle Resort, (Just like in 2009 & 2010) The famous after race party with Smuttynose crafted beer and ice cream is at the ye Olde England Inne.
