Stowe: Directions

Directions to Race Start/Finish Registration area:

From intersection of Rt. 100/Rt 108 Mountain Road)
LEFT: Mountain Road.
Go 1/2 mile
RIGHT: Weeks Hill Rd. Go about 400 yds.
You'll see the registration tent on the right. The Swimming Hole (an indoor pool) will be on your left.

Q: How do I get there from here?
A: As the local joke goes; "If I were going to Stowe, I wouldn’t start from {wherever you are}..." Actually, Stowe is easily reached by car. There is also train and bus service into Montpelier, and air service into Burlington, both of which are about 30 min. away. Rental cars and taxis are available at both locations. If you plan on driving, follow these directions:

From Boston take 1-93 65 miles north to Bow, N.H. Take 1-89 120 miles north to Exit 10 in Waterbury, Vermont. Take Rt. 100 10 miles north to Stowe.

From Hartford, New York, Philadelphia, Washington and points south: take 1-95 to 1-91 North in New Haven. Take 1-91 through Massachusetts into Vermont. At White River Junction, take 1-89 north 61 miles to Exit 10 in Waterbury. Take a right off the exit and follow Rt. 100 north 10 miles to Stowe.

From Albany: take 1-87 north to Exit 20 at Glens Falls. Take 149 to Fort Ann, Rt. 4 north to Fair Haven, Rt. 22A north to Vergennes, Rt. 7 North to South Burlington, 1-189 to 1-89, then I89 south to Exit 10 in Waterbury. Take Rt. 100 north 10 miles to Stowe.

From Montrea:l take Rt. 10 east to Rt. 133. Take Rt 133 south to the U.S. border. Take 1-89 south to Exit 10 in Waterbury. Take Rt. 100 north 10 miles to Stowe.
From Toronto take Trans Canada Highway 401 east to Cornwall Head south from Cornwall, cross the St. Lawrence River and the U.S. border and pickup Rt. 37 south to Malone. Take Rt. 11 East to Rouses Point. Cross the bridge over Lake Champlain and pickup Rt. 78 in Alburg. Continue along 78 to Swanton and then take 1-89 south to Exit 10 in Waterbury. Take Rt. 100 north 10 miles to Stowe.

RACE DAY PARKING: Aat the field on the right near the start/finish. Follow the signs. Race volunteers will be there to direct you to parking.

NOTE: If you're staying nearby, it might be easer to jog to the start. The Stowe Rec Path goes to the start/finish.
