What distance is this race?
The course is 3.1 miles long. The course will be well marked, and easy to follow.

ARE WALKERS ALLOWED?
YES! Wallkers are very welcome to our event. All we ask is that you obey the rules of the course and walk no more than two people abreast so that others may pass easily. .

NOTE: if you plan to run any portion of the race at all, please register as a runner.

What is the course like? (Course Map)

Our course starts at the funky Stone Church Music Hall - which is a very cool and unique structure made entirely out of field stones. The building was previously a church, but for the past 30 odd years it has been used as a music venue for local and nationally known bands.

Next, you will travel on small town rural roads and neighborhoods in the mill town of Newmarket. The route takes a tour of a local running loop - the Riverbend neighborhood - which is almost totally flat, then heads back into town to the Stone Church finish. NOTE - the very last 75 feet is a SHORT STEEP uphill - but the rest of the course is relatively easy.

This is a "lollipop" course where the end of the lollipop - you get to cheer on the other runners in the race.

Restroom facilities: For your conveniance, there will be bathroom facilities at the start and finish.

WHERE ARE THE Aid STOPS?
There will be one water stop at about half way. .

WHERE IS THE START & HOW DO I GET THERE?
The start is directly in front of the Stone Church Parking long Registration and packet pickup is inside the Stone Church. See Directions

WHERE CAN WE FIND PARKING ON RACE MORNING?
There is a FREE municipal parking lot on the corner of Elm and Spring Street. you should be able to park fairly close to the start and finish area. Parking is FREE!.

ARE THERE SHOWERS AFTER THE RACE?
No, There will not be showers availablel.

HOW CAN I DRIVE THE COURSE?
All of the race course is accessable by car before the race begins. Follow the race map for best results.

WHERE ARE THE BEST LOCATIONS TO SEE THE RACE? Anywhere on the course is a good as you can walk easily back to the finish after the race is done.
Probably the best spot is the corner of south and Pine Street as you can see the race at about 1/4 mile and then see the finish as you can walk to see the runners. A full map is availble on this site.

From the North: Take Rt. 108 south into Newmarket, as you cross the bridge - Take a right onto ELM street. turn left onto Spring and left into parking lot. Walk on Spring street toChapel Street to Granite Street to the Stone Church.

From the South: Take Rt. 108 North into Newmarket, head straight through town. Take left just before the bridge - Library is on your left. This is ELM street. turn left onto Spring and left into parking lot. Walk on Spring street toChapel Street to Granite Street to the Stone Church.
