Great Bay 1/2 Marathon
Be a Volunteer!
C'mon, join the Great Bay Half Marathon Volunteer team!!
Why Volunteer?
If your friend, partner or family member is racing it's a great
way to support them while actively participating in the race.
Race volunteers all work hard, have a great time, and support
a great cause. Volunteering is a great way to gain valuable
experience, make new connections, and experience the thrill
of the Great Bay Half Marathon, firsthand. We would love to
have you as a part of our team this year!
Some of the volunteer positions available include:
Traffic Control Marshall
Finish LIne help
Registration Packet handout
Course Marshalls
Food preparation
And More!

Come and experience the excitement that comes from volunteering at such a fantastic event! The Great Bay Half Marathon (GBHM) is being held in Newmarket, NH on Sunday April 6th with a Health & Fitness Expo Saturday April 5th.
Need some encouragement to join us?? Here's what GBHM Volunteers get::

- Community Service Credit for your academic requirements
- A sense of pride in being part of the GBHM Team!!
All this and a front row seat to the inaugural running of a
race that is destined to become a Classic!!
Never volunteered for a race before?? No worries - we've got low stress assignments and experienced "Captains" to make sure you have fun while you help!
Running Boston 2 weeks later?? What a great way to catch some "racing buzz" while your legs rest!! Fine print: Volunteers must be 16 years of age (or mature and accompanied by an adult).

From the North: Take Rt. 95 to Portsmouth,
take rt 4 east to Durham
Take Rt 108 South from Durham to Newmarket. Entering town look
for Rt. 152, take right onto Rt. 152 (also South Main Street)
look for the Newmarket High School on your left about 4 tenths
of a mile.
From the South: Take 95 to Hampton toll Booth,Take Rt. 101 West towards Exeter. Get off Rt 108 Exit toward Stratham. Take Rt. 108 North all the way into Newmarket
Entering Newmarket, go over a set of Railroad tracks –
go left to top of hill
At top of hill is the Newmaket Town Hall, go left onto Rt 152.
Go .4 miles, look for the Newmarket High School on your left
