We'd like to say thanks to all the participants and spectators who came out on Sunday October 4th and made the Smuttynose Hampton Half Marathona resounding success. The rain from the previous day cleared up and over 1300 runners enjoyed the fall colors of Hampton, NH.

Just wanted to say “THANKS” for such an awesome experience in running this race for the first time. From the great race course and all the well organized post race events…it was fantastic!!!!!!! Enjoy our very flat and easy course as a tune up for your Fall marathon. You'll have cool fall mornings to train, clean brisk air, and stunning foliage.

Then celebrate your walk or run at Hampton Beach with an after-race feast including Smuttynose beer and a live band!

Welcoming Runners and Walkers

This race welcomes walkers and runners of all abilities from all over the country. We expect over 1,200 runners to celebrate their fitness on this most scenic of courses.

Ideal Weather History

The weather on this date is usually ideal. Average temperatures around race start time are in the high 40's with finishing temperatures normally in the mid 50 degree range. The weather is dry 90% of the time, with light winds at 8-12 mph.

There are two small hills at miles 6 and 8, but the highest elevation is only 60ft!
