April 5, 2009 - 10:00 Walkers/ 11:00 Runners
Thanks to everyone who attended our spring celebration at the Great Bay Half Marathon and 5K. It was a spectacular day and we so appreciate your support of our race. A total of 1,314 runners and walkers finished the challenging half marathon course and a new overall men's record was set by Rich Smith in the Mens's race of 1:15: 01. Julia Huffman was the overall female winner in a time of 1:29 and change. Congratulations to all who participated in the Half and the 5K.
Re: Results Snafu: Due to technical difficulities our results for the 5K and the half were delayed. We apologize for not having prompt results posted for everyone. Re: Finishers medals: In order to have "custom" finishers medals, we have to estimate how many medals we will need 6 weeks BEFORE the race. We ordered 10% more than we thought we needed. Due to the exuberance of our finish staff handing out medals to registered runners and Bandits, we did run out of medals. Our most sincere apologies for this error. We would be very happy to mail you a medal should you be one of the few who did not receive one. please email mike@locorunning.com with your full name and address and state you did not receive a medal.
Re: Race Photos:Yes, there will be race photos available. We expect the race photos to be posted by Thursday of this week. the Photo site will be www.capstonephoto.com.
